“Green” is the word that is used daily, in newspapers, in schools, in colleges, and virtually everywhere. Ever since the awareness of global warming increased, people themselves are opting to go green (eco-friendly). If you are engaged in any act that is bound to harm the atmosphere and your neighbor notices it, you will soon find that people look at you as if you are an alien. This is the level to which people are taking eco-friendliness personally.
Naturally, this will apply to home furnishings too. While green items are useful to you, they also save you from visitors scorning at the non-green elements if any. The trend is going high day by day. Use as much recycled material as possible. Great quality furniture is available made of recycled material which can be further recycled.
Next comes the furnishings and upholstery. Try to use as much cotton as possible. Silk and Wool are also acceptable. Avoid furs at any cost. They are hard to clean and are expensive. And, they sure will invite trouble.
